The Encore GX is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive both with three trim levels: Preferred, Select and Essence. Power is supplied by either a 137-hp 1.2-liter turbocharged engine or a 155-hp 1.3-liter turbocharged engine. The 1.3L is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Select trim builds on the base adding more comfort and safety with Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, power adjustable heated front seats, remote vehicle starter, automatic dual zone climate control and roof rails.
The top of the line Essence has it all including leather seats, Full LED headlamps and taillamps, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, air Ionizer, power mirrors with reverse tilt down, auto-dimming rearview mirror, memory system for 2 drivers includes exterior mirrors and garage door transmitter.
